Most anticipated releases for 2021. Let’s get 2020 done.

What are we waiting for guys? Which release is marked on your calendar?

Also, before going further I feel I need to mention the new Taylor Swift album release today. I am dead. deceased. I am not dealing. Guys. I can’t.

So, I am positive this list will grow as the year develops. These are the ones I am holding out for for now! Tell me yours?

The Crown of Gilded Bones- Jennifer L Armentrout

Release date: 20th April 2021

The Blood and Ash series has had some serious hype this year. In my opinion, it is well warranted. I DEVOURED the first two books and I am hanging out for the third one.
I am really hoping the book picks up right where a Kingdom of Flesh and Fire finished.
Who am I kidding? I’m just here for more Casteel and Poppy. In any form. I will take it. Thanks, Jen.

A Court of Silver Flames – Sarah J Maas

Release Date: 16th February 2021

This will be the fourth book in Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series. I only stumbled across this series this year but I know it’s an all time favourite in the young adult/ new adult scene. I am especially keen for this release because it will focus on two of my favourite side characters: Cassian and Nesta. By A Court of Frost and Starlight I was getting a little over Rhysand and Feyre (as much as I love them) as I feel like they have been done. Just leave them to be happy now. I am READY to have my heartbroken again.
It is important to note how much I HATE this cover. I loathe it. the orange, the grey. I don’t hate the art I just feel like it was thrown together all wrong. You know what I don’t loathe? But @isabellamhsmith over on Instagram has created her own cover and it’s amazing. So i might just keep that one in my brain instead.

The Bone Shard Emperor – Andrea Stewart

Release date: Late 2021 (potentially September)

There isn’t even a cover released for this one yet so I have had to use the cover from the first book in the Drowning Empire series. I reviewed Bone Shard Daughter recently and it was such a surprising find! As far as I can tell it’s Andrea Stewart’s debut novel and it SLAPS, guys. I have high hopes that book two will build beautifully off book one and will have an amazing book cover to match.

The Bridge Kingdom Novella/book 3

Release date: Not confirmed but Danielle L Jensen has said hopefully sometime in 2021.

This is a brand spanking new edition to the list. I literally finished Bridge Kingdom this morning and plan to read the Traitor Queen as soon as possible. I already know that Danielle L Jensen is one of those authors. You know the ones? Where you read something by them and you immediately need to read their entire back catalog and commit to any future works? That kind.

I would love to hear your most anticipated releases. I am always keen to check out new recommendations ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Same here! I’m really hyped up for A Court of Silver Flames too! I was hoping for more Feyre but good point, they deserve their peace… and I’m really excited to learn about Nesta as well though she annoyed me a bit haha… I totally agree! The cover was such a let down from the iconic original, thanks for sharing the art done by Isabella – it looks totally epic ah!

    1. Thanks for reading!! I also love Feyre haha but by the end of the third book I was just a little done. I have a sore spot for Nesta but mostly for Cassian ๐Ÿ˜‚ I wish Isabella could do all of the covers.
